My wife and I had lunch at the outback in Palm Desert California. The restaurant was not crowded and we seated in a reasonable time. it took a while for a waitress to come over to our table and we promptly ordered the steak and lobster for both of us. I had it with broccoli and my wife had it with salad. We ordered both our steaks medium well done. It took approximately 15 minutes for our order to arrive. it appears it had been sitting out for a while as my broccoli was cold. We ordered steaks medium well done, they were slightly burned on the outside and very pink on the inside which is not what a medium well steak is supposed to look like. Steaks were warm but not as hot as we had hoped for. We did not request to speak to a manager as we ate our meal in the entirety. However for future reference I'm not sure that I will be going back to this particular outback. I've had better success with the ones in San Bernardino. Based on our experience, at this time I cannot recommend this particular outback however I do in general like outback's food so again I will drive a little further to get a meal properly prepared the way we ask for.

I was so disappointed today with Outback Steakhouse! I am the activity director for a local assisted living. My residents are a wonderful bunch, although as in most assisted livings some of my residents have wheelchairs. Our group in particular had 4 today. I had called in advance some days before to assure they could accommodate us and the staff assured me they could. We had a group of 15 and arrived as soon as they opened. WE WERE TURNED AWAY!!!! WHY?? BECAUSE WE HAD TOO MANY WHEELCHAIRS AND THEY WOULD PREFER US TO COME BACK AT ANOTHER TIME. WELL... Let me say we go out monthly to local restaurants to support our beautiful community and we have NEVER been treated this way. Our residents were very excited to have lunch here. Fortunately because we have such wonderful relationships with our community our very AWESOME " Tommy Bahamas" welcomed us with open arms and we had one of the best times ever. Shame on Outback Steakhouse and how sad that in a retirement community a business would burn a bridge like that.

I thoroughly enjoyed Outback. Got everything I wanted the way I wanted it. Leave this off, do it dry, whatever. You know how picky we can be. Delicious food. Excellent service. Extremely busy for dinner especially in season. You can call for best times, and they take reservations.

After over a dozen visits, the service and staff are still the best. On special occasions, the wait can be up to an hour or so but worth getting your steaks cooked right for prices around $$$. For a chain restaurant, food is above par with a good choice menu. Families welcomed as well as couples. Bar service was good. For a mid level steakhouse, I recommend a visit.

Loved the baked potato soup! Had this years ago when I came here and its still just as good. Filet was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked!
